چکیده
Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication systems have an eminence potential to improve road safety and optimize traffic flow by broadcasting Basic Safety Messages (BSMs). Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) LTE Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) are two candidate technologies enable V2V communication. DSRC relies on the IEEE 802.11p standard for its PHY MAC layer while LTE-V2X is based 3GPP’s Release 14 operates in a distributed manner absence of cellular infrastructure. There has been considerable debate over relative advantages disadvantages LTE-V2X, aiming answer fundamental question which technology most effective real-world scenarios various efficiency applications. In this paper, we present comprehensive survey these (i.e., LTE-V2X) related works. More specifically, study both compare performance using variety field tests. First, provide summary each highlight limitations supporting V2X Then, examine their different metrics.

Performance Evaluation for DSRC Vehicular Safety Communication
In this paper, an analytic model is proposed for performance evaluation of vehicular safety related services in dedicated short range communications (DSRC) system on highway. The generation and service of safety messages in each vehicle is modeled by an M/G/1 queue. But since vehicles share a medium, the service time distribution of a message needs to take contention and backoff into account. W...

3GPP LTE specified for 5G the support for Device-to-Device (D2D) communication in either supervised mode (controlled by the network) or unsupervised mode (independent from network). This article explores the potential of LTE D2D in a fully unsupervised mode for the broadcast of safety-of-life automotive messages. After an overview of the Proximity Service (ProSe) architecture and new D2D interf...

IEEEand ASTM-adopted dedicated short range communications (DSRC) standard toward 802.11p is a key enabling technology for the next generation of vehicular safety communication. Broadcasting of safety messages is one of the fundamental services in DSRC. There have been numerous publications addressing design and analysis of such broadcast ad hoc system based on the simulations. For the first tim...

متن کاملSystem Level Performance Evaluation of LTE-V2X Network
Vehicles are among the fastest growing type of connected devices. Therefore, there is a need for Vehicle-toEverything (V2X) communication i.e. passing of information from a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) or Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) and vice versa. In this paper, the main focus is on the communication between vehicles and road side units (RSUs) commonly referred to as V2I communication in a mul...
